Obituary: Angel Luís Rodríguez, 21, of New Haven

Angel, known for his quiet, loving and humble personality, was a Wilbur Cross graduate before following a career in security.

NEW HAVEN, CT - (From Washington Memorial Funeral Home) Angel Luís Rodríguez, 21 of New Haven died suddenly on Monday, February 15, 2021.

Angel was born in New Haven on April 9, 1999, a son of Jannette Ayala Ruís of New Haven and William Rodríguez of Norcross, GA, and was a lifelong city resident.

He was a 2017 graduate of Wilbur Cross High School. He worked as a security guard for the past three years.

Angel was a quiet, loving and humble person who very much loved his family, especially his son Angel Luís Rodríguez, Jr.

In addition to his parents and son, Angel is survived by two sisters, Jannelli Elena Rodríguez and Ava Milan Rodríguez, two brothers, William José Rodríguez and Aiden Christopher Rodríguez, his maternal grandparents Vilama Castellano and José Ayala, paternal grandparents William and Evelyn Rodríguez, his life partner Samantha Torres, all of New Haven, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Angel's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, February 25th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.

A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, February 26th at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven.
