Obituary: Luís Giovanni Segui, 21, of New Haven

NEW HAVEN, CT - (From Washington Memorial Funeral Home): Luís Giovanni Segui, 21 of New Haven died suddenly on Monday, March 22, 2021 at his home.

Luís was born in New Haven on August 2, 1999, a son of Maribel Segui and the late Florencio Cotto.

He was a lifelong New Haven resident and attended Wilbur Cross High School from 2014-2017.

In addition to his mother, Luís is survived by two sisters, Ivana and Ciara Santana of New Haven, four brothers, Florencio (Heather) Cotto, Jr. of Branford and Tristian, Malik and Bryce Santana of New Haven, his maternal grandparents, Anibal Rosario and Marta López of New Haven, his step-father Luís Santana of New Haven, his step-sister Chelisa Santana of Willimantic and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Luís' family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, March 28th from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.

A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Monday, March 29th at 10:00 a.m.

Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Hamden.
