Obituary: Nancy L. Gaumer, 73, of New Haven

NEW HAVEN, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Nancy L. Gaumer, 73, of New Haven, Passed away unexpectedly February 3, 2021 at her home.

Nancy was born in Los Angeles, CA on May 15, 1947, a daughter of the late Marvin and Mary Jane (Bugbee) Gaumer.

Nancy was a true animal lover. In her early years she took care of chickens, pigs, sheep, and her favorite, highland cattle. She enjoyed the company of her Shih Tzu Buster who she loved dearly for over 13 years. Most of all, she adored her grandchildren.

Nancy was extremely proud to called GGG “Great Grandma Gaumer” in recent time. She was a kind soul that would give anyone the shirt off her back if they were in need.

Nancy is survived by her son, Heath Erskine and his wife of Branford; her daughter, Holly Erskine and her husband of Waupaca, WI; her grandchildren, Jessica Dolan and her husband, Joshua, of Northford, Dean Erskine of St. Cloud, FL, Scott Erskine of St. Cloud FL, Robin Erskine of Jacksonville, NC; her great granddaughter, Amber Dolan; her son-in-law, Scott Petruzielo; and other close family and friends.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Heather Petruzielo.

In accordance with her wishes, all services are private. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to any local animal rescue/shelter in Nancy’s name.
