Obituary: Nicole Shantay Gibson, 35, of New Haven

Nicole, a member of Salvation & Deliverance Christian Training & Healing Center, was a loving daughter, mother and friend.

NEW HAVEN, CT - (From Hamden Memorial Funeral Home) Nicole Shantay Gibson departed this life suddenly on April 21, 2021.

She was born in Ft. Pierce, FL on June 4, 1985 to Takela D. Gibson & Dan Mickel.

She is the oldest of five children. In 1990, at the age of five, Nicole moved with her mother to New Haven, CT, where she began her schooling in the New Haven public school system.

Nicole was a member of Salvation & Deliverance (Christian Training & Healing Center) under the leadership of Pastor Roberta Knotts where she served in the Children’s Church, the Youth choir, and Usher Board.

Nicole leaves behind her loving mother, her four loving children: Rashonda, Giovanni, Darryl Jr., and Machon.

Nicole leaves a granddaughter, who is expected to be here any day now: Royalty Nicole.

She is survived by her siblings: Calvin Benjamin, Mynisha Roberts, Jalyce Roberts, Jalik Roberts, and Gary Ross III.

She is also survived by her stepfather, Gary Ross, Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.

Anyone who knew Nicole, knew she was a social butterfly.

She worked for several food chains and had a love for children.

Nicole take your rest until we meet again.
