Obituary: Ronald J. Lipka, 61, of New Haven

NEW HAVEN, CT - (From North Haven Funeral Home) Ronald J. Lipka, 61, of New Haven, passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Sharon for many years.

Ronald was born in New Haven on August 13, 1959 and was the son of Robert Lipka Sr. and the late Mary Smith Lipka.

He served his country faithfully in the U.S. Navy.

Ronald worked at Yale University as an equipment mechanic in the physical plant for 32 years and was a former chef. He was a proud member of Local #35.

Ronald was an avid New York Mets fan, he enjoyed trivia, traveling, hiking, fishing, and anything pertaining to the outdoors. Most of all Ronald cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren who he loved unconditionally.

Father of Jennifer (TJ) Hawks and Sean Lipka. Grandfather of Brandon (fiancé Lauren), Kaylee, Shiloh and Abigail. Brother of Bobby and Mark Lipka, Cathy Pedini and the late Robin Lipka Sr.

Also survived by his stepdaughter Holli Palmer (Chris Barilone) and his step-grandchildren Dominique and Ame.
