Pedestrian In Critical Condition, Driver Arrested In Crash
A New Haven woman is facing charges after she struck a pedestrian.
NEW HAVEN, CT — A victim is in critical condition and a driver has been arrested following a crash in New Haven, according to WFSB. Lucille Patterson, 37, of New Haven was charged with second-degree assault with a motor vehicle, driving under the influence, distracted driving, and failure to use care near a vulnerable person.
She was released on $50,000 bond and will appear in court March 5.
Police responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle in the 400 block of Dixwell Avenue between Argyle and Gibbs streets at 3 a.m. Monday morning, according to The New Haven Register.

When they arrived on the scene, they found an unresponsive 42-year-old woman lying in the roadway, with Patterson holding her.
Patterson failed a field sobriety test and her car, a Chevy sports utility vehicle, was impounded during the investigation, according to The Register.
