Pedestrian Struck, Killed In New Haven Crash
A man was killed after being struck by a car in New Haven on Tuesday evening.
NEW HAVEN, CT — A pedestrian was struck and killed in an accident on Ella T. Grasso Boulevard between Printers Lane and Adeline Street on Tuesday, according to police. Police responded to the call around 6 p.m.
A 41-year-0ld New Haven woman driving a Jeep Liberty was traveling on Ella T. Grasso Boulevard just south of Columbus Avenue. Around the 500 block of the boulevard, the SUV was traveling in the right lane when the pedestrian attempted to cross the street.
The front of the car struck the pedestrian, who was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital. This morning, the pedestrian was pronounced deceased.

No other injuries were reported.
The driver remained at the scene of the accident and is cooperating with the investigation.
