Police Investigate 2 Weekend Shootings, Both Near George Street
A 41-year-old man from West Haven and a 14-year-old boy from New Haven were shot Friday and Saturday, respectively, police said.
NEW HAVEN, CT —Friday night, a 41-year-old West Haven man was shot on George Street, between Waverly and Day streets, police said.
Saturday, in the pre-dawn hours, a 14-year-old from New Haven was shot on Orchard Street, between George and Chapel streets, police said.
Both suffered non-life threatening gunshot wounds, according to New Haven police spokesperson officer Scott Shumway.

In each case, police got 911 calls and Shotspotter alerts.
Police ask that any witnesses who have not yet spoken with the police contact the New Haven Police Department Investigative Services Division at 203-946-6304.
