Police Investigate Shooting Of 21-Year-Old New Haven Man

Tuesday night just before 11 p.m., the 911 calls came in reporting gunfire on Morris Street. Cops found the man with a single gunshot wound.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Tuesday night just before 11 p.m., the 911 calls came in reporting gunfire on Morris Street, police said.

When officers arrived to the scene on Morris Street, between Truman Street and Washington Avenue, they found a 21-year-old city man suffering from a gunshot wound, New Haven police spokesperson officer Scott Shumway said. The man was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.

Police ask that any witnesses who have not yet spoken with investigators contact the New Haven Police Department Investigative Services Division at 203-946-6304.
