Popular New Haven Restaurant Fined, Liquor License Suspended
State officials announced the fine and upcoming suspension of the eatery's liquor license.
NEW HAVEN, CT — A popular, upscale restaurant has paid a fine of $1,000 and will have its liquor license suspended on Jan. 2 and Jan. 3 of 2020, state officials said.
The State of Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection Liquor Control Commission announced that Jack's Bar & Steakhouse located at 212 College St. in New Haven has paid a $1,000 fine and will have its liquor licenses suspended on Jan. 2 and Jan. 3.
"This suspension has been imposed for violation of the following statutes or regulations:

FAILURE TO COOPERATE, CONDUCT OF PERMIT PREMISES-BRAWLS,DISTURBANCES, LOITERING ON PERMIT PREMISES and HOURS AND DAYS OF CLOSING."
The restaurant opened in 2017 to much fanfare and has received excellent reviews from customers. According to its website the owners say, "We strive to create a remarkable and memorable dining experience for each and every guest that honors us with their patronage. We continue to improve on being masters of our craft, learning every day and searching for ways to do all that we do better each and every time. And also in New Haven, Temple Wine and Liquor at 161 Temple Street has paid a $1,500 fine and will have its license suspended on Dec. 26 for sale to a minor, state officials said.
