Shooting Task Force Seize Three Firearms At Cedar Street Home: PD

NEW HAVEN, CT —Police said a man was arrested after investigators seized three guns and a "variety" of drugs.

According to New Haven police spokesperson officer Scott Shumway, on Friday, members of the New Haven Police Shooting Task Force, Criminal Intelligence Unit, and the Narcotics Enforcement Unit, conducted an investigation at 194 Cedar St. that led to the seizure of two semi-automatic handguns, one revolver, as well as a variety of controlled substances.

As a result of the investigation, Gary Davis was placed under arrest and charged with the following:

  • Criminal Possession of a Firearm (3 counts)
  • Possession of a Large Capacity Magazine
  • Altering or Removing ID Marks on a Firearm
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance (two counts)
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell (two counts)

Davis was held on $300,000 bond and was transported later the same day to an arraignment hearing in Superior Court at 121 Elm Street.
