Walk-Up Vaccines On The Green Thursday For Residents 12 & Older

The mobile clinic, a partnership between the health department, FEMA and Griffin Health is open Thursday until 6 p.m. Bonus: free pizza!

NEW HAVEN, CT —With no appointment needed, anyone age 12 and over can walk right up to the COVID-19 vaccine clinic on the Green Thursday to be vaccinated.

And grab some free pizza while they're at it.

New Haven Mayor Justin Elicker posted to Facebook to let folks know that to date, the city has vaccinated over half of all eligible New Haven residents.

The effort is the result of a partnership between the city's health department, the Federal Emergency Management Agency and Griffin Health, he said.

The first vaccine clinics on the Green were held in April.

"We’re going to continue to make this vaccine accessible to all our residents, regardless of their zip code," Elicker said.

The mobile clinic is open until 6 p.m.

And bonus: there's free pizza for folks who get vaccinated.
