Waterford Hotel Group Joins Village Suites To Operate New Haven Village Suites

From Waterford Hotel Group: Waterford Hotel Group, Inc. has entered into a management agreement with Village Suites, LLC to operate the New Haven Village Suites in New Haven, CT. New Haven Village Suites is part of the Hospitality Division of NHR Properties. Waterford Hotel Group, a national hotel management company headquartered in Waterford, assumed management of the hotel effective June 1.

“We look forward to working with and assisting the ownership and staff of the property,” said Robert Winchester, president and COO of Waterford Hotel Group, Inc. “Our extensive experience with extended stay properties, as well as independent hotels, makes Waterford the right choice to manage the New Haven Village Suites,” he added.

The 112-suite New Haven Village Suites is located at 3 Long Wharf Drive just off Interstate 95 at exit 46 in New Haven. New Haven Village Suites is the only extended stay hotel in New Haven, designed for people looking for flexibility and ease of living. The hotel offers the conveniences of a hotel with the comforts of home, with studio, one bedroom and two bedroom suites available. Each suite is equipped with a living room, dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen. Additionally, many select suites include a working fireplace. The hotel also features a breakfast area, business center, fitness center, sports court, and a 640 square foot meeting room.

“A $1.5 million renovation to the hotel was completed in September 2016, which included the addition of three communal courtyards, controlled access parking, additional lighting, fiber optics installation and suite renovations which included ADA renovations to meet 2010 Federal ADA Compliance standards. We look forward to continuing our suite renovations and other community enhancements with the Waterford Hotel Group,” said Juan M. Salas-Romer, Managing Partner of NHR Properties.

The New Haven Village Suites is highly ranked for Business & Leisure on TripAdvisor and has been awarded AAA Three Diamonds. The hotel is the 1st “Green” Hotel, certified by the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection and presented with the iStay Green 3 Eco-Leaf Rating and TripAdvisor’s Green Leader status.
