New Haven Mayor Justin Elicker spoke as well as State Senator Gary Winfield.
I spoke with Addie Kimbrough, census volunteer who seemed to be everywhere at once; ensuring the census taker with the Ipad was helping people enter their census info, lining up the community members who were speaking, and 'working the crowd'. Back in August, Addie was "hitting the streets in 100-degree heat... to encourage people to take the census."
