2 Hospitalized, 5 Displaced In New London Fire
Hoarding conditions made it difficult to rescue one man in the building, according to a report.

NEW LONDON, CT — Two people were transported to the hospital following a structure fire in New London early Monday morning. Firefighters responded to the call at 40 Blackhall St. at 5:45 a.m., according to a statement from the fire department.
Five people were displaced due to the fire as well, FOX 61 reported. A man was trapped on the second floor and hoarding conditions made it difficult for crews to rescue him.
The condition of the two people injured in the blaze was not released. Investigation into the fire remains active.
