2 Injured, 1 Charged In New London Car Crash
Two people were injured and one man was charged with DUI in a wreck over the weekend.
NEW LONDON, CT — Two people were injured and one person was charged in a Saturday car wreck in New London, according to police. Police responded to the call at 4:35 p.m. for a crash at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Broad Street.
Two people were transported to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Police investigated and found one of the drivers was intoxicated. Rafael Pacheco, 25, of 34 Grove St Apt 1 in New London, was charged with driving under the influence, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, failure to maintain proper lane, and risk of injury to a minor.
