1 Man Shot Saturday Night, New London Police Investigating

NEW LONDON, CT — Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred at 11 p.m. in the area of Williams and Bristol streets in New London.

After officers arrived they found items supporting the initial report to include multiple shell casings being located in the area, police said. While police were investigating, an adult male gunshot victim arrived at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital for medical care, police said.

It was reported that the victim sustained the non-life threatening gunshot wound(s) in the area of Williams and Bristol streets, police said. The incident does not appear to be a random act, police said.
