2 Overdoses, Fire Occur in New London Tuesday Night
A man was hardly breathing but emergency personnel were able to revive the overdose victim.
Over a span of eight hours, New London Police and Fire personnel responded to two possible overdoses and a fire. According to The Day, one man suffered from a PCP overdose and the other from a heroin overdose.
Both men were in their mid-30s and the man who overdosed on heroin was revived using Narcan. A fire at 7 Prest St., in an apartment complex, was called to the fire department at approximately 11:30 p.m.
New London firefighters shared the above photographs via Twitter and wrote:
"Overnight 7 Prest St, working fire in an apartment building. No injuries reported. Good work by those on duty.”
One man was relocated from his apartment while an investigation into the fire continues.
