Chelsea Groton Foundation Awards $5,000 Grant to Operation Fuel
Helping New London County Households With Energy Assistance!

The Chelsea Groton Foundation has awarded a $5,000 grant to Operation Fuel to use for energy assistance for households in New London County.
Operation Fuel is a statewide nonprofit organization that provides emergency energy assistance year-round to lower-income working families and individuals, the elderly, and disabled individuals who are in financial crisis. The Chelsea Groton Foundation was formed in June 1998 as a Section 501(c) (3) organization. The foundation initially was endowed with a $2.8 million donation from Chelsea Groton Bank, and recently received an additional $5 million from the bank.
