Groton-New London Airport May Offer Commercial Service
The Connecticut Airport Authority wants to restore commercial service for Groton-New London airport.

NEW LONDON, CT - Efforts to bring commercial service to the Groton-New London Airport are ongoing and won't be affected by additional commercial service at Tweed New Haven Airport, according to The New London Day. Connecticut Airport Authority Executive Director Kevin Dillon said that the direction the CAA has set "calls for the development of (Groton-New London) and in particular commercial service at that airport."
Commercial passenger service ended at Groton-New London about 15 years ago, but the CAA is in talks with carriers about restoring it. The CAA was in talks last year with a carrier interested in providing service to Washington, D.C., but those talks fell through.
