Health District Warns New London County Schools On Rising Cases

The Ledge Light Health District says some New London County schools should consider staying with a hybrid model rather than fully reopening.

NEW LONDON, CT — The Ledge Light Health District has informed school districts of a dramatic increase in COVID-19 cases in recent weeks, according to The Day. Public health officials are saying that schools should continue hybrid learning rather than fully reopening to reduce the number of cases.

Currently most schools in the area are operating on hybrid models with students attending in-person classes two days a week. However, some schools have been devising plans to fully reopen.
