Ledge Light Health District Releases Coronavirus Numbers

The Ledge Light Health District is reporting high case counts in several Southeastern Connecticut towns.

NEW LONDON, CT — The Ledge Light Health District has released the statistics for recent coronavirus cases. The total number of cases across the district was 434, continuing the trend over the last few weeks and reflecting the rise in cases across the state.

The district released the following statement: "Ledge Light Health District released the latest COVID-19 data for the municipalities within its District. Our contact tracers continue to report that they have observed many COVID cases associated with family and social gatherings, as well as a significant increase in cases associated with long term care and assisted living facilities. We encourage everyone to remain diligent and take appropriate precautions throughout this holiday season.
