Ledge Light Health District: Virus Numbers Up After Holidays

The district recently released coronavirus numbers for all its towns.

NEW LONDON, CT — The Ledge Light Health District reports coronavirus infections are up following the holidays.

The district released the following statement: "Ledge Light Health District released the latest COVID-19 data for the municipalities within its District. As expected, we have seen a significant increase in cases within our jurisdiction, due in part to COVID transmissions associated with holiday gatherings. LLHD began our COVID vaccination campaign this week, and expect to continue vaccinating through the spring and summer. Although vaccinations are an important part of our COVID response, it is critical that we remain diligent and take appropriate precautions."
