Motorcyclist From New London Killed In I-95 Crash
On the highway near Branford, Angel Vega, 39, lost control of the bike as he weaved between lanes, was thrown off, struck and killed.
BRANFORD, CT — A 39-year-old New London man was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle while driving on I-95 Wednesday.
State Police said Angel Vega was traveling between lanes on his Suzuki, lost control and flew off the bike landing on the highway directly in front of a Jeep in the near lane.
Vega was treated at the scene and then taken to Yale New Haven Hospital by Branford Fire Department ambulance, where he was pronounced dead.

According to Connecticut State Police, Vega, of Ledyard Street, was driving in "an unknown lane of travel" on I-95 South, past exit 55. Police said he swerved between a Jeep driven by a New Haven resident and another car and "split the right and left lane of travel" and ultimately lost control, falling off the bike and landing in the Jeep's path.
The Connecticut State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Squad is part of the investigation.
