New London Ascends to the Top of Girls Basketball Poll
The Whalers moved into the number one spot with a perfect 10-0 record.

NEW LONDON, CT — For the first time in a very long while, a team other than Capital Prep sits atop the Connecticut high school girls basketball poll.
New London (10-0) assumed the top position in the latest weekly balloting, collecting eight first-place votes, while Capital Prep dropped to second.
