New London Chef To Appear As Contestant In Popular Fox Series

A local chef will appear in the next season of "Hell's Kitchen."

NEW LONDON, CT — A New London chef will appear in the next Gordon Ramsay’s "Hell’s Kitchen," which premieres May 31, according to The Connecticut Post. Morgana Vesey, a chef at Stonington's Water Street Cafe, will be a contestant on the 20th season of the show, which is themed as "Young Guns" with all contestants being 23 years old or younger.

Vesey was previously the sous chef at Canggio in Norwich, a modern Peruvian restaurant. She was 21 when the show was shot.

The show is back in Las Vegas, home to five of Ramsay's restaurants, including Gordon Ramsay Hell's Kitchen restaurant at Caesars Palace, according to a website for the show.

"Each week, the competition gets more intense, as these 'Young Guns' are put through rigorous culinary challenges -- reaping high stakes rewards and punishments, all with a Sin City flare," the website reads. "Only those who possess the right combination of ingredients will continue in the competition, until one is named winner. At stake is a life-changing grand prize, including a Head Chef position at Gordon Ramsay Steak at Paris Las Vegas and the title of Hell's Kitchen winner."
