New London Coronavirus Update: Beauty Store Operator Charged
A beauty supply store owner who continued operating his shop has been issued a criminal summons.
NEW LONDON, CT — The operator of Beauty Land, a New London establishment, has been arrested on charges that he continued to operate despite the pandemic lockdown, according to police. Tae Kim, of 50 Blue Heron Drive in East Hampton, was issued a criminal summons on Friday for violating the Declaration of Public Health Emergency issued by Gov. Ned Lamont.
Police said Kim was located on premise conducting regular business at the 284 Frontage Road location in disregard of the order. Police received multiple complaints about the violation.
