New London High School Remains Near Top of Girls Basketball Poll
The Whalers have won their first eight outings this season.

NEW LONDON, CT — Capital Prep retained its position atop the girls basketball polls in the latest weekly balloting by members of the Connecticut sports media.
Despite a Sunday loss to powerful Rutgers Prep in New Jersey, the Trailblazers continue to dominate state teams, winning every in-state regular season game for more than five years.
New London maintained its number two ranking, improving to 8-0.
