New London Man Charged With Drug, Gun Crimes

NEW LONDON, CT — A New London man was charged Thursday afternoon for drug and gun crimes, according to police. Giovanni Sierra, 27, of 23 N. Hawthorne Drive, Apt. A6, was charged with two counts of possession of narcotics, two counts of possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal possession of a firearm, and weapons in a motor vehicle.

During the arrest, police seized about 7.9 grams of crack cocaine, 1.6 grams of cocaine, scales, a 9MM handgun with ammunition, electronic devices, and $840 in cash.
