New London Man Sentenced In Heroin Dealing Case: Feds

NEW LONDON, CT — A New London man was sentenced to 28 months in prison for dealing heroin, according to a statement from federal prosecutors. Robert Winston, aka "Bobbo," 35, will also serve three years of supervised release.

Winston's case is related to an investigation by federal, state, and local law enforcement into drug and gun dealing in Southeastern Connecticut. The investigation revealed that Winston received heroin from a co-conspirator and distributed the drug to his own customers.

A total of 26 people were indicted in the case in 2019. Winston pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute and to possess with the intent to distribute heroin on June 24.

Winston has been detained in state custody since Aug. 14, 2019, for an unrelated drug offense.
