NEW LONDON, CT — New London Mayor Michael Passero and two city employees tested positive for COVID-19 last week, according to The Day. The outbreak is contained to the third floor of City Hall where the mayor's office is located.
Passero, who tested positive Thursday, said he is experiencing mild symptoms and plans to quarantine and work from home for 10 days. Passero said he has been careful but that it was probably a mistake to hold a few in-person meetings in recent weeks, The Day reported.
Across the state, more than 3,800 cases were reported Friday with a 6.97 percent positivity rate.
