New London Offers Free Parking During Holiday Season
The move is intended to attract shoppers to downtown.

NEW LONDON, CT — The New London Parking Authority is offering free parking at O’Neill-Tilley Municipal Parking Lot for the holiday season. Free parking will be available to Jan. 1.
Carey Redd, director of parking/CEO for the NLPA said in a statement that the decision to wave parking fees in the downtown municipal parking lot was made for the benefit of holiday shoppers.
"The New London Parking Authority fully supports New London businesses and is happy to provide an opportunity to help holiday shoppers enjoy all that the City of New London has to offer,” Redd said.

While parking fees are being waived until Jan. 1 in the O’Neill-Tilley parking lot, officials said that parking violations in front of curb cuts, driveways, and fire hydrants will continue to be enforced.
The O’Neill-Tilley parking lot is located off Eugene O'Neill Drive, at the center of the downtown New London's arts and entertainment district. The parking lot is close to restaurants, art galleries and shops.
