New London Restaurant To Hold Grand Reopening Event
A local restaurant will reopen following renovations.

NEW LONDON, CT - The new look of McDonald’s has arrived in New London, CT with a rebuild to the restaurant located at 406 Coleman St. In honor of the fresh look of the Golden Arches, the restaurant’s crew and management team are excited to invite the community to celebrate its grand re-opening on May 23rd alongside Mayor Passero, Rep. Anthony Nolan and local first responders.
The festivities will begin at 9:00 a.m. with a meet-and-greet with restaurant employees. In addition to community donations to both the New London Library and VFW Post, there will also be giveaways including an Arch Card, Amex gift card, new bike, and 42” TV. Shortly thereafter, there will be a flag raising ceremony to officially open the restaurant conducted by VFW Post 189, which will also be opened and closed by the NLHS Drum Corp.

“We’re excited to share this evolved experience at McDonald’s with our customers,” said Owner/Operator Joseph LaBianca. “We appreciate and value our guests’ feedback on this new offering, and we’re looking forward to providing them with new ways to dine at McDonald’s.”
The redone restaurant features modern and contemporary décor, inviting guests to experience McDonald’s in a new and unexpected way. They’ll be provided with a high level of choice, engagement and service including mobile ordering, self-service kiosks, table service and curbside pickup. A new Playplace will also be opened for local families to enjoy while they dine in. These changes are reflective of an innovative restaurant model that has been successfully rolled out in more than 2,600 international McDonald’s restaurants and puts more control in the hands of guests.
