New London School Administrator Placed On Leave: Report
A New London school administrator has been on leave since last month.
NEW LONDON, CT — A New London school administrator has been put on leave, according to The Day. William "Tommy" Thompson, former principal of New London High School and current director of secondary-level curriculum, instruction, assessment, intervention and professional development, was put on paid administrative leave July 1 and remained on leave as of Monday.
The district has not disclosed why Thompson is being investigated, The Day reported. A union official said that Thompson denies allegations against him that he engaged in "any misconduct or unprofessional conduct" and criticized the district for failing to provide evidence to justify the investigation.
