New London School Temporarily Closes Following Positive Tests

A New London school is closed to in-person learning for the rest of the week after two people tested positive for COVID-19.

NEW LONDON, CT — Harbor Elementary School students will be in virtual learning for the rest of the week after two positive COVID-19 tests in two days, according to The Day. The district received notice Tuesday that a student tested positive, and Wednesday a staff member tested positive.

The student is in quarantine along with anyone else who had close contact with the student. A district official said the school is closed because of a lack of substitute coverage, according to The Day.
