New London Schools To Adopt Hybrid Model
New London schools will offer in-person and online education this fall.
NEW LONDON, CT — New London Public Schools will be operating on a hybrid model using both virtual and in-person instruction.
The district released the following statement: "Late last week the Connecticut State Department of Education issued addendums to their school reopening framework that gives school districts new guidance on how to gauge which reopening model their school community should open with, as aligned to public health data. Based on this, New London Public Schools will be opening in a HYBRID MODEL (yellow) in September. This means students will be divided into two groups: Cohort A and Cohort B. Cohort A students will come to school, in-person, on Mondays and Tuesdays and Cohort B students will come to school, in person, on Thursdays and Fridays. Students will be learning remotely, with teacher and support staff guidance, on days when they are not physically present in school. Each week buildings will be closed on Wednesday; The mid-week closing will allow for our custodial staff to thoroughly clean each facility."
