New London Student Performs “God Bless America” at Fenway Park for More than 30,000 Fans

BREAKING: Her performance during the seventh inning stretch was part of the park's Connecticut Day.

Groton child Ayanna Leigh, 10, recently performed “God Bless America” at Fenway Park in front of 36,806 fans, The Day reported.

The performance took place during the July 25 game between the Boston Red Sox and the Minnesota Twins, according to The Day. She has also performed at the Connecticut Sun and Connecticut Tigers games, as well as Cafe Sol in Niantic.

Leigh is a fifth-grader at the Nathan Hale Arts Magnet Center in New London, according to The Day. She sang the National Anthem in June at the Barrett-Jackson Northeast Auction at Mohegan Sun.
