Asia Maulana Warren, 44, of New London, entered eternal rest on Monday, December 23, 2019 at home. She was born in New London, CT on September 10, 1975 to her mother, Savania Neal and father, the late Vern Warren.

“Maulana”, or “Mookie”, as Asia was affectionately known, attended the New London Public School System as well as the Westover Job Corps Center in Chicopee, Massachusetts. She then moved forward to earn her Associate's Degree in Audio Visual Technology at the New England Institute of Technology in Warwick, Rhode Island.

Asia was an energetic, authentic, out-going, intelligent and loving person. Over the years she worked as a Property Manager, Marketing Coordinator and Corporate Assistant. But nothing made her happier or more proud than being the owner of Asia Major Suite, Hair Salon and Barber Shop. Whether it was styling, cutting, dying, or braiding, Asia loved to do hair. She had a given gift of seeing beauty in all things and loved bringing it out of everyone. She had a beautiful spirit that would brighten any room she walked into and was often seen as the life of the party. She enjoyed singing, dancing, exercising, and loved to laugh. She will truly be missed by many.
