NEW LONDON, CT - Demetrio J. Esteriany 88 of New London died Saturday February 29, 2020 at his home surrounded by family.

He was born August 16, 1931 in Panama to Panay Esteriany and Herminia Morales. He married Angela Cortes, she survives him.Demetrio works as a pipe fitter for the Panama Canal. He always enjoyed a good cup of coffee while doing a crossword puzzle or reading a book with a nice cold beer. But most of all, it was spending time with his family is what he cherished most. Besides his wife Angela he is survived by his children. Joaquin Esteriany, Magaly Esteriany, Demetrio Esteriany, Nadia Esteriany, Michelle Mieszczak, Yasha J. Esteriany. Son-in-Law Wesley Mieszczak. Daughters-in-Law Fulgencia Esteriany, Judith Esteriany and Rosa Acevedo. God-Daughter Maritza Maldonado. Grandchildren: Bernardo Gonzalez, Sharon Gonzalez, Karen Delgado and her husband Fidencio Adames, Sasha Esteriany, and “Abuelo Cipi” to Antonio “Tonito” Adames, and Alyson “Allie” Adames; and his loyal dog Rusty.

Visitation is scheduled from 3:00pm to 4:00pm Monday March 2, 2020 at the Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington Street, New London, CT 06320. Interment is private.
