Popular New London Ice Cream Shop Reopens

NEW LONDON, CT — Popular ice cream shop Michael's Dairy held a grand reopening this past weekend. The shop is located at 629 Montauk Ave. on the Mitchell College campus.

The ice cream shop posted on Facebook: "We're ecstatic to announce our Grand Re-Opening, this Sunday, June 7 from 12-8pm! You'll be able to call in/Order online (website coming soon!), Pick up and Go!During our initial opening, menu items will be limited to cups, pints and quarts of ice cream, frozen yogurt, sorbet/sherbet, and no sugar added (no cones) and prepacked toppings for sundaes. PLUS you're going to want to try our *B R A N D N E W * Sundae Kits! We can't wait to see you at Michael's!"

Michael's will have restrictions in place: "Customers are also welcome to eat on the grounds of Michael’s Dairy, maintaining proper social distance. Covid-related regulations including on-grounds social distancing will be in place and posted to help protect our employees, customers and community."

Michael's completed extensive renovations that include a new seating area and will now have a year-round coffee shop along with a small menu of breakfast and lunch items, The Day reported.
