Popular New London Restaurant Expands With Pasta Shop
A local Italian restaurant is expanding by opening a market.
NEW LONDON, CT — A popular local Italian restaurant is expanding in the form of a pasta shop, according to The Day. Tony D's at the corner of Huntington and Broad streets opened in 1999, and the market will be next door to the eatery.
The restaurant began doing takeout orders when the pandemic hit. Anthony D'Angelo, who runs the restaurant and serves as head chef, told The Day that they were already doing fresh pasta, so opening a market would be a natural expansion of the business.
