Report: Leaving East Lyme, Bob's Heads Back To New London

NEW LONDON, CT — Bob’s Discount Furniture will be doing a ribbon-cutting on Frontage Road on Black Friday, The Day first reported.

According to press statement, the Manchester-based chain is pulling out of Niantic, though that move won't be complete until late December.

The news that Bob's would resurface in New London, and at 389 North Frontage Road, is more than a year old, but the store now confirms it will take up residence where Chuck E. Cheese once lived.

The retailer that left New London for Niantic, and is now headed back, said it will shutter the East Lyme store Friday night but it will be resurrected, it's reported, as an outlet and remain open until just after Christmas.
