Truck Rollover Crash Leads To Closure Of I-95 Ramp In New London

A Monday morning crash on I-95 has closed an I-95 exit.

NEW LONDON, CT — A sewage tanker rollover led to the closure of an I-95 ramp Monday morning, according to WFSB 3-TV. The wreck occurred around 5:40 a.m. on the southbound side.

The crash was at the Route 32 northbound connector to a service road, police said. No injuries were reported.

Drivers will need to use alternate routes, police said.

The driver of the truck was transported to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

The tanker truck was carrying sewage, which was leaking as a result of the accident.

State Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and Department of Transportation officials were notified and responded.

The on ramp is closed and residents are encouraged to avoid the area until the wreck is cleared, police said.
