Wireless Zone of New London Promotes David Viera to Assistant Manager!

Wireless Zone is proud to announce the promotion of one of their most dedicated team members, David Viera, to his current position as Assistant Manager of the of New London store location. Owners Scott Gladstone, Neil Ryan and Matt Mularski are elated to have David in this position of leadership, and know that he will undoubtedly continue to enhance the store’s customer centric reputation.

As a member of the National Honor Society and earning the CIAC McDonald’s Scholar Athlete of the Year, David graduated from New London High School in 2004. He attended the University of Connecticut, earning his undergraduate degree in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Political Science. During his time in college, he also served as the Head Endurance Trainer for UConn’s Tae Kwon Do team.

David’s dedication and commitment to helping others excel transpired into David’s first career opportunity to serve as a Career Coach for Seabird Enterprises in Groton, CT, helping develop and provide programs to enhance the lives of individuals with physical and developmental disabilities.

An equal passion for technology transpired into a second career path with Best Buy as a Computers & Mobile Phone Specialist. After a successful six years with the company, he heard of an open position at a local Verizon Wireless Premium Retailer. With the opportunity to merge his two career desires, David joined the Wireless Zone team in New London with hopes of one day becoming a manager.

In addition to being an outstanding sales representative for the company, David’s leadership and ability to motivate his peers transpired into earning recognition for his dedication to the company and cohesively growing the sales team. “I love Wireless Zone’s sense of community. Working here is like being a part of a family. I have never worked with such a dedicated team, so willing to go above and beyond for not only each and every customer, but for each other as well.”

David’s goal as assistant manager is to continue to learn all of the skills necessary to be an effective assistant manager, and inspire the New London team to surpass all customer expectations. “My five year old daughter is the love of my life. I know firsthand that life and work are a balance, and helping my team excel on and off the sales floor is priority,” says Viera.

Matt Mularski, thirteen year veteran manager of New London, could not be more thankful to have David as his right hand man. “Dave is driven as a sales representative, but his true gift is befriending his peers and encouraging them to perform at a higher standard. His consistently positive attitude makes him an even better fit.”
