Adam’s House Announces Six New Team Members
Shelton Grief Center Welcomes New Development Director and 5 Board Members

SHELTON, CT (March 25, 2021) - Adam’s House announces the hiring of a new development director, and the appointment of five board members for the nonprofit grief support and education center in Shelton.
Arlene Greco will join the staff as Development Director. Joining the Board of DIrectors are David Cribbins; Alison Leiko Hong, MD; Tanya Grant, Troy Lipp, Esq., and Tom Dorney. “We are thrilled to welcome these six amazing individuals as the newest members of our team. Their combined experience, wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm brings a fresh perspective to the organization as we continue to expand our support services and meet the needs of a bereaving Connecticut community,” says Allison Wysota, Executive Director of Adam’s House.
Arlene Greco joins Adam’s House as their new Development Director with over 20 years of fundraising, development, and executive-level management experience in the non-profit sector. This includes 16 years as a Chief Fundraising Executive with a history of directing and cultivating exceptional growth and success in fundraising. Arlene has a stellar reputation for developing and nurturing the community and a proven record of excellence in collaboration, volunteer management, event planning, communications, and strategic planning. A resident and long-time volunteer in the Lower Naugatuck Valley, her personal and professional background includes former President of the Derby-Shelton Rotary Club, Women Making a Difference in the Valley Award recipient, a volunteer with Master’s Table Community Meals and serving on the Family Relations team of Treasured Time.

Dave Cribbins is a licensed clinical social worker with 20 years of experience delivering a variety of mental health services to children and families. In December 2012, Dave was a mental health first responder to families directly affected by the Sandy Hook tragedy, and later led the Healing and Recovery Program for the students and staff. He continues in a long-term recovery role for the Sandy Hook community, employed as a school social worker in Newtown. Dave consults nationally for schools coping with tragedies with sudden and tragic loss of life. Dave’s knowledge in traumatic grief recovery helps guide him and those he supports from a place of initial crisis response to a place of long-term healing and recovery. He has served on the Youth Service Bureau in Shelton, the juvenile review board, and held a private practice. For fun, Dave enjoys the outdoors, exercise, and cooking.
Dr. Alison Hong is a physician who specializes in optimizing patient outcomes and value-based performance, and has supported numerous statewide and federal quality improvement initiatives and high reliability culture collaboratives. A quality improvement and patient safety expert, Dr. Hong is an accomplished consultant specializing in compliance with licensing and accreditation requirements, governance, and medical staff standards. Dr. Hong is a graduate of the Universidad Tecnológica de Santiago, Dominican Republic where she received her doctorate in Medicine and completed her undergraduate studies. Born and raised in New York, Dr. Hong currently resides in Monroe, CT.

Tanya Grant is an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice at Mercy College in Manhattan. Tanya holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Fairfield University, a Masters degree in Criminal Justice from the University of New Haven, and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Criminal Justice from Capella University. She is a published scholar of several articles on domestic violence and law enforcement response. Before working in academia, Tanya spent time working in the corrections and domestic violence fields. Tanya believes her most important contribution to this world are her son Jordan, and daughters Mia and Ava Grace.
Troy Lipp, Esq., is an attorney with the law firm of Cuddy & Feder, LLP located in White Plains, New York. In this role, Troy advises clients in a wide array of legal matters, including complex commercial disputes and real estate. As an attorney with a focus in litigation and dispute resolution, Troy brings his creative problem-solving experience and analytic skills to the Board of Directors of Adam’s House. He is also a Board Member and Treasurer of the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Westchester County and previously served as a Board Member of the Greenburgh Nature Center.
Troy lives in Danbury, Connecticut with his wife, daughter and their dog, Harley. As a resident of Fairfield County, Troy is excited and eager to serve the community in which he lives and advance the mission of Adam’s House in his role as a Board Member. Troy enjoys working outside, home improvement projects and Saturday morning trips to Lowes and Home Depot with his daughter.
Finally, Tom Dorney is the National Director of Resources and Partnerships for ReGroup Foundation, whose mission is to eradicate Veteran Homelessness, Suicide and other Hardships. He is a US Navy Veteran who served aboard the USS Enterprise, with active deployments that took him around the world, including twice in the Middle East. Working in Logistics most of his time in the Navy, Tom worked as a Damage Controlman and fulfilled his Fire-Fighting destiny by being part of the ships Fire Department. Upon leaving the service, Tom studied IT Support, Operations and Logistics, developing a skill-set in outreach, fundraising and project management. Tom has dedicated his career to Veterans and First Responders, effectively providing them with programs and resources, most notably coordinating events for Fallen Warriors and First Responders, and interacting with “Gold Star” families. He lives in Fairfield, CT with his wife Sue and 3 cats and enjoys kayaking or anything on or around water; walking or biking trails, and road trips.
