Bank Robbery Suspect Sought By Shelton Police; Reward Offered
The suspect robbed a People's United Bank in the Stop and Shop on Bridgeport Avenue in Shelton on Tuesday.

SHELTON, CT — A man robbed the People's United Bank in the Stop and Shop at 898 Bridgeport Ave. in Shelton on Tuesday morning, according to police, who are asking for the public's help in identifying him. A $500 reward is being offered by the bank for information that leads to the suspect's arrest.
The incident occurred at 10 a.m., wrote Shelton Police Det. Christopher Nugent on Facebook.
"The man handed a teller a note demanding cash and implied that he had a gun," Nugent said. "The male immediately ran from the store."

He fled to the parking lot and left in what appears to be a newer model orange Hyundai Tucson. See the Facebook post below. How much money, if any, he stole from the bank was not disclosed.
The suspect is described as white, with a thin build, in mid- to late-30s. He stands about 6 feet, 4 inches tall and was wearing a blue sweatshirt, blue cargo pants, work boots, and a fitted baseball hat with a "T" Logo.
