The two teenagers, and a third juvenile suspect, are accused of beating the victim during a late-2020 street robbery, Shelton police said.
SHELTON, CT — Two teenage brothers, and a third juvenile suspect, were arrested by Shelton police on robbery charges in connection with a December 2020 street robbery near Coram Avenue and White Street in Shelton, according to authorities.
Eliezer Reyes, 19, and Jose Reyes, 18, both were charged this week with second-degree robbery, second-degree assault and sixth-degree larceny; the juvenile suspect, who was arrested in January, also was charged with the same offenses.
The incident occurred on Dec. 10 when witnesses notified police that three people were kicking and punching a victim on the ground in the area of Coram Avenue and White Street, according to Shelton Police Det. Christopher Nugent.

"The victim was transported to the hospital for injuries he sustained as a result of the assault and robbery. Officers canvassed the area, however were unable to immediately locate the suspects who fled the area."
Detectives launched an investigation and were able to recover the backpack, identify the Reyes brothers and juvenile as suspects, and obtain warrants for their arrests.
