Company Permanently Closing Shelton Facility

SHELTON, CT — A company will close its Shelton facility next year, according to officials. Conopco, Inc., located at 3 Corporate Dr., has notified state and local officials that it has decided to permanently close its entire facility on or around June 30, 2021.

“All employees were offered to relocate to its Englewood Cliffs, NJ location and 45 employees accepted these offers,” officials wrote in a WARN notice.

As a result, the company will begin laying off 90 employees starting on Oct. 15 through June 30, 2021, at its Shelton facility.

“Their layoffs will be permanent and no bumping rights exist,” officials wrote.
