Coronavirus Shelton: Manufacturer Announces Layoffs
Shelton manufacturer Precision Resource announced temporary layoffs due to the coronavirus.

SHELTON, CT — Precision Resource in Shelton announced that it would temporarily layoff 51 employees from April 6 to at least April 17 due to the new coronavirus.
Employees were notified of the decision April 1, according to a letter submitted to the state Department of Labor.
Precision Resource had a Connecticut division and corporate office located in Shelton. The company produces precision components used in the automotive, heavy duty, tool, electronic and medical industries. The company employs fineblanking technology to produce components that are impossible to make with traditional stamping processes, according to the company's website.
