Derby Woman Expresses Regret Over Fatal Crash

The woman said she wished the crash had killed her instead of the victim.

DERBY, CT — A Derby woman said she wishes she was killed in a March Orange crash instead of 45-year-old man.

Ramona Rubin, 79, had gauze over one of her eyes after a doctor appointment, according to the Connecticut Post. She had veered off the road and struck Sylvester who was inspecting an axle on his vehicle, according to an arrest warrant.

She is charged with misconduct with a motor vehicle and failure to drive in the proper lane, according to court records.
